IDEA Virtual Conference Registration

Join us from 6-9 October for the first IDEA Virtual Conference ‘Rising to the Challenge - Global Citizenship in 2020’

2020 has been a year of dramatic change. Our lives are in flux, systemic inequality is in the spotlight, and our response to the looming economic and climate crises hangs in the balance.

This conference is an opportunity to come together with others to unpack 2020 and to explore how we can work together to rise to the challenge!

We are running a range of sessions across the 4 days including an Opening Session, Keynote Session, 2 Panel Sessions, 4 Workshops and a Closing Session.

This will be by Mr. Philip Alston, former United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights (2014-2020) to discuss his final report in that role: 'The parlous state of poverty eradication' (July 2020)

Panellists include:

Anastasia Crickley, Lorna Gold, Wongani Grace Taulo, Gavan Titley, Bulelani Mfaco, Mark Malone, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, Valery Molay, Amelia Peterson, and Stephen McCloskey.

More information is available here:

2020 has been a challenging year for us all. We want this conference to be a space where people come together to explore some of these challenges and how to build a better future as we move forward. The prices below are suggestions. As these are difficult times, we are also providing the option to pay what you can. If you have any questions regarding registration or if, in lieu of payment, you would like to make a contribution by volunteering around the conference you can contact us at communications@ideaonline.ie.

There are two ticket options to choose from (see agenda for details of each day):

  • 3 Day Ticket (not including Workshop): Days 1, 2 & 4
  • 4 Day Ticket (including Workshop): Days 1 - 4*

*If you opt for a 4 day ticket you will be contacted seperately regarding workshop registration
