Bridge 47: Sub-granting Call for Proposals

Are you working in the area of Global Citizenship Education or educational innovations? Do you think that education can change the world around you for the better? If your answer is yes, Bridge 47 welcomes you to participate in a call for innovative educational projects.

We believe education can help us reverse negative global trends. In the current call for proposals we are looking for small scale (regional, local, community) innovative projects which put Global Citizenship Education and other types of value-based education in practice.

The maximum project budget should not exceed €5,000 with a maximum project grant of €4,750 (5 % co-financing requested from project applicant). Successful applicants will be invited to a two-day design thinking workshop in March 2019 to showcase their educational innovations.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is 24 January 2019.

Eligible entities are active non-profit organizations established in one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia.

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is leading on the Partnerships strand of Bridge 47.

This sub-granting call is part of Bridge 47 – Building Global Citizenship, an EU-funded project implemented by Finnish Development NGOs Fingo and 15 European and global partners. The project mobilises and empowers global civil society to contribute to a transformation towards global justice and eradication of poverty through Global Citizenship Education (GCE). There are places for two representatives (staff, volunteers, etc.) from each Code member. One of the commitments in joining the Code is to contribute to the Community of Practice for this Code, including sharing successes and learning with other Code members and attending at least one of two Code network meetings annually. Over the past few months, IDEA and its members co-created a new strategic vision and roadmap for GCE in Ireland for the next five years. This is the successor to Vision 2025 and is called Vision 2030. We are delighted to announce that we will launch the publication of Vision 2030 on Tuesday 21 October 2025 in the Georgian Suite of Buswells Hotel, 23-27 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, 12 noon – 12.45pm. Refreshments will be provided. Please save the date and register below for the event.
