A key area of focus for IDEA is fostering innovation and promoting the innovative work being done in the Global Citizenship Education sector in Ireland

Our Innovation Work

The aim of our work on innovation is to support our members to explore new tools, methods and ways of thinking, that will expand the reach of their work. We will provide tailored training to build capacity and facilitates experimentation, foster innovation in the GCE sector in Ireland and promote innovative practices. We will lead by example and trial new ways of working and support its members to do the same. IDEA is committed to be brave and explore new approaches to our work to share their learnings with the sector.

In Practice

IDEA will be supporting & enabling members to integrate new skills & learnings into their practice, through trainings that explore innovative tools and practices. We will also be sharing resources and case studies that support this learning, including through our Innovation Magazine “The Catalyst”

 

Our annual Innovation Lab will provide a space for knowledge exchange, practice development and experimentation. The Lab will be a place to explore new ideas and innovative approaches. It will also an opportunity to build on and deepen the practices  introduced by the trainings we provide.

We will also be providing opportunities for our members to share their learning and celebrating the innovation taking place in the sector through our Knowledge Shares Sessions and by promoting our members’ innovative practices.
