Call for Tender for Evaluation of DICE Project

The DICE Project is a national strategic education initiative partnering five institutions involved in initial teacher education (ITE) at primary level, with funding from Irish Aid. The project aims to integrate development education and intercultural education into ITE programmes and across the Primary School Curriculum.

The DICE Project Management Committee and Irish Aid now seeks a consultant to undertake an independent review of the project and its related structures, to evaluate its success in meeting the objectives of the Strategic Plan (2014-16) and to inform the project’s future direction. Date: Thursday, 13 November, 09.30am – 11.30am Location: O nline Our first training event for the Irish Aid Global Citizenship Education Grants Round is a Grants Clinic, focusing on the application form, to be facilitated by Bobby McCormack, CEO of Development Perspectives and Chairperson of IDEA National Council, and Elaine Mahon, IDEA. This will take place on Thursday, 13 November, 09.30am – 11.30am, online. IDEA provides support for members - and spaces for members to support one another - in applying for Irish Aid Global Citizenship Education Grants. This training and support is free of charge to all. As in recent years, we are also inviting any other actors who are not yet members of IDEA to these training events. To make this training as useful as possible for all attending, please make sure that you have a copy of any previous application form you have worked on relating to the Irish Aid GCE grants available to you during the session. Date: Tuesday 18 November, 10am - 12.00pm, online Location: Online This workshop is part of IDEA’s support on the Irish Aid Global Citizenship Education Grants Round. It is the complementary workshops developed by IDEA on ‘Results Frameworks for Global Citizenship Education’. This session will be led by Elaine Mahon, IDEA and Susan Gallwey, as an Individual member, IDEA This session is focused on supporting those who are familiar with Results Frameworks and have begun work on the Results Framework for their application. This will take place on Tuesday, 18 November, 10am - 12.00pm, online. Participants are invited to prepare for 'Improving Your Results Frameworks’ session as follows: a) Those participants from organisations who have previously submitted a Results Framework for Development Education/Global Citizenship Education to Irish Aid should be familiar with their existing Results Framework. Before the event they will be asked to share (with the trainer and IDEA) an outcome and associated indicators that is working well and also identify an outcome and associated indicators that posed some challenges. b) Those participants from organisations who have NOT previously submitted a Results Framework for Development Education/Global Citizenship Education to Irish Aid and/or people who are new to Results Frameworks should first view the session called ‘ Results Frameworks for Beginners’ , led by Susan Gallwey and Elaine Mahon, before attending the Workshop. The 2026 Irish Aid Global Citizenship Education Grants Call for Proposals is now open
