'Challenging the Crisis' workshops have taken place in Dublin and Cork during November and December. We would like to thank NYCI for partnering with IDEA on these events, as well as our facilitator Alan Hayes for his inspiring work! IDEA Members CIT Crawford College of Art and Design, Amnesty Ireland and ECO-UNESCO also hosted the events, and it was a pleasure to collaborate with you all!
Following these ‘public’ workshops, IDEA is now delivering sessions on ‘Challenging the Crisis’ in-house for other organisations. The first of these happens on Thursday 12 December with USI (Union of Students in Ireland). If you are interested in having IDEA in to run a workshop on ‘Challenging the Crisis’ with the young people you work with in early 2014, please contact the Project Coordinator elaine@ideaonline.ie
The 'Challenging the Crisis' workshops are relevant to any young people with an interest in how the global economic crisis is affecting all of us and young people in particular.
Before Christmas, we hope to open our call for ‘Young Global Advocates’ – a core group of young people who will lead on Project activities in Ireland. Immediately after Christmas we will be circulating a survey to gauge young people’s attitudes towards global justice and international development. We will be asking IDEA members to help us reach our target of 600 respondents (aged 16-30 years).
For now you can keep up to date on the Project on the IDEA website and on Facebook www.facebook.com/challengingthecrisis
