LYCS: Women of the World

February 12, 2018

Lourdes Youth and Community Services are running Women of the World, Monday & Tuesday, 26 & 27 March, 10.00am-4.30pm. This training aims to introduce community workers, activists and educators to global development issues and how they impact on women, to build their understanding of the links between local and global issues and develop their capacity to take action around the issues. Many of the problems faced by women in Ireland are shared by their sisters in other countries around the world. And many issues faced by women whether here or elsewhere are affected by globalisation and by decisions taken outside of our national context. If we want a better world for ourselves and future generations we must empower women all over.
