Start Date: 07/10/2019 End Date: 07/10/2019

Event Location: IDEA offices, 6 Gardiner Row, Dublin 1

Join IDEA and the Wheel for this practical workshop on how you can integrate the concepts of Sustainable Communities into your Development Education or community development work. We see sustainable communities as being socially resilient, economically thriving and environmentally healthy. Whether you work as part of a group or are an individual practitioner, you will hear inspirational stories from local sustainable community initiatives and gain practical tools to enhance your practice.

Learn about The Wheel’s online sustainable communities toolkit, as highlighted in the Government’s Climate Action Plan, and the Spark Change project that showcases the contribution local communities are making to achieve the SDGs. The workshop will be facilitated by Johnny Sheehan, The Wheel and run from 10am – 1pm in IDEA offices, 6 Gardiner Row. To register please contact: elaine@ideaonline.ie and inform us of any dietary requirements.

This training will be free of charge.
