This half-day, hands-on workshop will build the skills and confidence needed to prepare and deliver a good Development Education workshop in which all participants learn with and from each other. The workshop is aimed at those who are new to Development Education and also for anyone who would like to reflect on, refresh and revitalise their Development Education practice. Participants will have the opportunity to try out some active learning methodologies, and to explore how these can be used in a wide range of educational settings to increase understanding of local and global development issues and to empower people to take effective actions for equality and justice.

Helena McNeill  is the Development Education worker at Lourdes Youth and Community Services. She is the author of Connecting Communities: A Practical Guide to Using Development Education in Community Settings.

Workshop is €25 for members (concessions available) and €60 for non-members.

Time: 10:30 – 13:00

To register for the workshop, please email Susan@ideaonline.ie
