LYCS: GLOBALISATION AND INEQUALITY Workshop

September 25, 2017

Lourdes Youth and Community Sevices are running a Globalisation and Inequality Workshop for community activists, workers and educators, Thursday, 16 November 10.00am-4.00pm, in the Carmelite Community Centre, Dublin 2. This one-day Development Education workshop is an opportunity to explore rising inequality in Ireland and around the world, its causes and consequences, and what can be done about it.

In this free one-day training you will:

  • Learn about the scale of inequality in Ireland and the world
  • Explore about globalisation and how it relates to the growth in local and global inequality
  • Consider the impact that inequality is having on societies and how we can address this growing challenge
  • Participate in activities and exercises that will help you explore the issue of growing inequality in the context of globalisation with the groups you work with.
