The Irish Research Council has launched a grants pre-call for New Foundations 2022 which will include research supporting Irish Aid’s Global Citizenship Education Strategy and the National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development. This funding, which is being supported by the Irish Research Council, Irish Aid and the Department of Education, will include research grants of €10,000. Deadline for application is 4.00pm, 21 June.
IDEA is holding a networking session on 03 May for members interested in applying for the New Foundations 2022 research funding. This session will consist of a short briefing on New Foundations, by Brenda Blake, manager of the COALESCE and New Foundations programmes in the Irish Research Council. This will be followed by discussion, and an opportunity for members to network and explore possible collaborations. IDEA’s membership includes both researchers based in Higher Education Institutes and practitioners working across lifelong learning in formal, informal and non-formal education settings. Our aim with this session is to provide an opportunity for members to explore collaborations, and in doing so to strengthen connections between research and practice in Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development.
This will be online session.
