Youth for Sustainable Development and the Global Action Programme

Join ECO-UNESCO on the 1 October,10.00pm – 3.30pm in St. Andrews Recourse Centre in Pearse Street, Dublin 2 to celebrate the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals and start taking action. It is open to all including young people, those working with young people, and Education for Sustainable Development/Development Education practitioners.

The event is part of ECO-UNESCO’s work as a Key Partner in the Global Action Programme (GAP), UNESCO’s International implementation programme for Education Sustainable Development under Key Priority Action 4 – Mobilising and Empowering Young People.

The aim is to contribute to your understanding of the Global Action Programme and specific Sustainable Development Goals by bringing together young people and professionals in the field to take part in a world café style exploration. You will have the opportunity to discuss the five sustainable development goals that most impact the environment and biodiversity. Participants will be guided through this exploration using methodologies that will empower you to take action on the Goals.
